"Australian White Cypress (Callitris glaucophylla) grows in the sandy soils of South East Queensland where we average 8 - 10 inches of rain per year, thus the trees grow very slowly, one of the reasons for its unique density and durability qualities.
Cypress Pine is a naturally regenerating species therefore ensuring the future of the resource for many years to come. Although classed as softwood, Cypress Pine is a hard timber that is perfect for use as a flooring timber. It's much sought after for its remarkable natural termite resistance and for its natural color and texture.
For over 30 years we have harvested our Cypress Pine from sustainably managed forests in South East Queensland, which are regulated by the Queensland Government Forestry Department."
